Top names in European improvised music and free jazz, Paal Nilssen-Love and Raoul Björkenheim, will perform at We Jazz Festival on December 4th. The rare duo concert opens the evening on Kuudes linja, which will also host Timo Lassy Trio feat. Reiska Laine.
We Jazz Festival will be held from November 29th to December 5th in Helsinki. We Jazz will present visionary Nordic jazz with two special ensembles on December 4th in Kuudes linja. The evening will be opened by a rare concert to which inspirational drummer Paal Nilssen-Love from Oslo has invited seminal guitarist Raoul Björkenheim. The Kuudes linja evening also host Timo Lassy Trio, whose spiritual jazz is uniquely paced by drummer legend Reiska Laine.
The health of the festival audience, artists and staff is of paramount importance to the organizers of We Jazz and the concerts are conducted in accordance with the recommendations of the authorities. Due to the corona pandemic, the audience capacities of the venues have been reduced.
