Nordic Jazz Comets, the co-production of five Nordic jazz organizations and We Jazz 2020 festival, undergoes major changes. Due to the travel restrictions, the concerts on December 2, will be streamed live from five different cities.

Due to production challenges caused by travel restrictions, Ingibjörg Turchi Band (ICE), Kjetil Mulelid Trio (NOR), Post-Sun-Vision (SWE) and Svaneborg Kardyb (DEN) won’t be able to travel to Helsinki in December. Instead, this year’s edition of the Nordic Jazz Comets will be streamed online and each group will take part performing from their home cities. The online event will be hosted by Nordic jazz associations (FIH Music School, JazzDanmark, Jazz Finland, Norsk Jazzforum, Svensk Jazz) and We Jazz 2020 Festival.

Kadi Vija Key Project, the Finnish ensemble led by singer-composer Kadi Vija, will perform as planned at G Livelab Helsinki on December 2. In addition to Vija, the band includes Max Zenger (bass clarinet), Tuomo Dahlblom (guitar) and Tuomas Timonen (drums). The G Livelab’s We Jazz concert will feature a unique performance curated by one of Finland’s leading jazz acts, saxophonist Jukka Perko.

Already purchased advance tickets are valid to the concert as such. Tickets are also available for refund. Further information. office@wejazz.fi.

The Nordic Jazz Comets stream will be available free of charge. The schedule and link to the stream will be release on a later stage on We Jazz website, Jazz Finland website and at www.nordicjazzcomets.com.
