Svart Records releases Olavi Louhivuori’s Immediate Music album series second part on 13 December.
The five-part album series Immediate Music gets continuation with the release of Immediate Music II on December 13. The album series examines the musical freedom, spontaneity and immediacy through different genres, and each album welcomes new guest musicians. On Immediate II, Louhivuori has invited the Finnish stars of modern music: pianists Emil Holmström and Joonas Ahonen. The album’s music is based on improvisation; the musicians rehearsed or prepared nothing before the recording session. The result is hypnotic music with echoes of avant-garde, ambient (Brian Eno) and different movements of modern music (Morton Feldman, John Cage, La Monte Young).
