Multi-instrumentalist Mikko Pettinen and his band Why Not opened the new decade in Eclipse Music's catalog with their epic double album "Two Suites For The Change". Thematic album ponders the state of the world with its wide compositions and out-speaking lyrics. Album was released on 17th Jan 2020 as a vinyl-LP, CD and digitally.

In addition to Mikko Pettinen (trumpet, keys, voc), the band includes three top jazzers in Finland: Joakim Berghäll (sax, bass clarinet, cello), Vesa Ojaniemi (bass, live electronics), and Tuomas Timonen (drums, sensory percussion). Music is a unity of acoustic and electric jazz with some spices of world music.

Pettinen's compositions were inspired in the state of the modern world, dystopia, climate change and nature. "I wanted to do something new and surprising, both for my self, my bandmates, and listeners. I wanted to challenge myself and use some unusual time signatures. I haven't questioned anything, but just let the thought flow. That's why this music is so honest and straight from my heart", Pettinen describes his composition process.

Mikko Pettinen Why Not starts a tour to celebrate the new album. The tour includes nine concerts around Finland and more is to be announced.
