entry-image

Trumpeter Mikko Pettinen leads his new quartet Why Not on the last Jazz Finland Tour of this season. Eleven jazz clubs around Finland and Estonia get to hear intriguing tunes from the ensemble's January release Two Suits For The Change.

Trumpeter Mikko Pettinen is known from the ranks of the prestigious UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra and the renegade Helsinki-Cotonou Ensemble. Pettinen approaches the modern-day questions with his new electronic Why Not quartet. The Tampere-based Eclipse Music label released the ensemble's debut album Two Suites For The Change in January 2020. Pettinen's compositions on the double vinyl reflect the hopes and fears of climate change and the future of AI.
