One of the most followed names in jazz guitar will give concerts hosted by Koko Jazz in both Helsinki and Iisalmi in January 2023.
Mike Stern (USA) was the first to successfully combine rock guitar with the bop-like expression of jazz music. Born in 1953, Stern has made his career in worthy company including Miles Davis, Jaco Pastorius, Joe Henderson and the Brecker Brothers band. Mike and Leni Stern will give concerts on Thursday 26 January in Helsinki at the Koko Jazz Club, after which they will move to Ylä-Savo to perform a concert at the Iisalmi Cultural Center on Saturday 28 January. The concert is part of Iisalmi Jazz Festival, which will be held on January 26-29, 2023.
