Jazz guitarist and composer Mathias Sandberg is one of the hardest working musicians in the country. He plays a hundred concerts a year and has toured both Europe and the United States. This summer Sandberg embarks on a 40 date tour in Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania with his trio and the new Freedom Music project.
Guitarist Mathias Sandberg together with Zacharias Holmkvist on bass and Stefan Brokvist on drums, have in the last two years played over 100 concerts from Enontekiö in the North to Helsinki in the South. The trio’s albums have received both huge critical review and airplay on jazz radio stations in Europe, United States, South America, Asia and Australia.
The trio concerts showcase Sandberg unique blend of hard swingin', groovy and soulful jazz with strong melodic writing, rhythmically playful improvisation and a delightful, almost telepathic interplay between the three.
