At the end of May, Savoy JAZZFest offers nostalgia in its program: the icons of Finnish jazz Jukka Linkola, Quintessence and Jukka Perko will perform at the festival. The Juhani Aaltonen - Strings concert will be postponed until next autumn.
Savoy JAZZFest will be held between May 28-30 as a hybrid event: the concerts will be streamed via the Keikalla.fi service and, if restrictions allow, a small live audience will also be present.
Festival programme
Fri 28.5. at 19:00 Jukka Linkola & UMO Helsinki – The Tentet
Sat 29.5. at 19:00 Quintessence With Strings
Sun 30.5. at 15:00 Jukka Perko – Bridge Over Troubled Water
Trumpeter Jukka Eskola is the artistic director of Savoy JAZZFest. The main theme of the event is “With Strings”: most of the performances have been adapted for Vantaa Orchestra's 10-member string ensemble. The festival's partners in 2021 are Vantaa Orchestra and Hotel Haven.
Stream tickets are sold via lippu.fi.
