Jyväskylän Kesä announced its performers and their theme for 2022.
The 67th Jyväskylän Kesä festival will be held from 6 to 12 July 2022. Jyväskylän Kesä has always graced the the headlines with its themes that anticipate the world's major trends. The 2022 theme is movement. The program emphasizes works that are strongly based on movement in its various forms. The theme is addressed through performing arts, exhibitions and topical discussions.

Linda Fredriksson, known for Mopo, Ricky-Tick Big Band and Superposition, has become one of Finland's brightest saxophonists and jazz musicians in recent years.
Fredriksson recently released the first album of their solo career, Juniper, which has received great reviews and praise. Linda Fredriksson's music combines unpretentious singer-songwriter aesthetics, jazz and improvised music.
At Jyväskylän Kesä, high-quality jazz can be enjoyed on Sunday 10 July at the atmospheric Cultural Centre Villa Rana. In addition to Fredriksson, top musicians Tuomo Prättälä, Mikael Saastamoinen and Olavi Louhivuori will play in the line-up.
The festival prepares for a return to normal
Jyväskylän Kesä is one of the few summer festivals that was also held in the corona years of 2020 and 2021. The uninterrupted, annual story of the event has continued since 1956.
2022 is expected to be a normal year of large audiences and international guests.
