Koma Saxo will release a first taste of the quintet’s upcoming live album today, the stunningly beautiful folk-influenced single Fiskeskärsmelodin. We Jazz Records will release the new album by the band, led by Berlin bassist Petter Eldh, on April 30th.
Berlin-based bassist-producer Petter Eldh’s explosive quintet Koma Saxo will return in the form of a live album released by We Jazz Records on April 30th. The concisely named LIVE was recorded at the We Jazz Festival in Helsinki in December 2019, and the multi-faceted album with eight tracks takes its listeners directly to the burning hot core of free jazz. The songs recorded at G Livelab Helsinki show that the ensemble is prone to stormy musical eruptions as well as calmer atmospheric pieces. The album's first single, the devout Swedish folk tune Fiskeskärsmelodin will be released today. The single immediately appeared on Spotify's most watched jazz playlist State of Jazz.

We Jazz Records will release album LIVE on April 30, 2021 on black and "silver" vinyl, CD, and digitally. A bundle version will also be available, which, in addition to color vinyl, will include a seven-inch vinyl single containing unpublished Koma Saxo material.
