Kaamosjazz – Polar Night Jazz lights up the North again

entry-image

Polar Night Jazz event was first introduced in Tankavaara gold village 35 years ago. Today the international jazz festival takes place in Saariselkä, Inari and Karigasniemi restaurants, culture houses, chapels and even outdoors in the nature.

The Polar Night Jazz Festival in Inari-Saariselkä Region will bring together some of the best Finnish performers, local Sami artists and also an international guest from the Netherlands.

The festival programme is offering a variety of events, from dinner concerts at a banquet hotel or a cosy gourmet restaurant to short introductory performances at the central event corner, JazzArena or more intimate concerts in the local chapel or nature hut in the forest.

This event will see some unique performances linking different artists and music arrangements created only for the Polar Night Jazz Festival in the far North.

The Northern lights dancing in the skies and the snow-covered trees will add to this unique experience in the far North, some 250 km north of the Arctic Circle where music echoes in the harmony with the Arctic environment. It is well worth the journey!
