Jussi Lampela Nonet's jazz concert series continues in Kanneltalo

entry-image

Composer Jussi Lampela hosts and curates a series of high-end Finnish jazz in Helsinki's Kanneltalo.

The first guest soloist is saxophonist Timo Lassy, whose own music is heavily influenced by 50's and 60's jazz, soul and r'n'b. Lassy released his fourth album, Live With Lassy, in December 2013. Live With Lassy is a live edition of his record release concerts after his previous one, In With Lassy came out in 2012.

After Timo Lassy's visit, Lampela's Nonet backs up such names as clarinetist Antti Sarpila (March 4), soprano Mari Palo, singer Sami Pitkämö and trumpeter Jukka Eskola (April 15).
