Jukka Eskola Orquesta Bossa just released their debut album and currently are touring Finland to celebrate it. We Jazz and Unifilm produce a series which brings jazz bands to perform in an office environment once a month.
Live at We Jazz has come to its eighth episode, featuring Jukka Eskola Orquesta Bossa, which combines a jazz quintet and a string orchestra, namely Proton String Quartet. The collective plays trumpeter Eskola's original compositions, which have been enriched by drummer/producer Teppo Mäkynen, who seems to have a golden touch when it comes to jazz that is both, ambitious and yet hugely popular especially in the dancefloor jazz scene. The nine-piece band released their debut album in Japan in May 2013, with the European release date set in September.
