jaZZanti concerts are mainly held in the cozy Villa Hakasalmi, Mannerheimintie 13B. Helsinki Jazz continues its cooperation with Theatre Viirus, this time with a solo concert by Pauli Lyytinen. In the fall, the organization will also continue its cooperation with Hietsu is Happening! (HiH!) event series and also with a new partner, the World Music Center, with whom Helsinki Jazz will organize the traditional Carnatic music concert of South Indian master flutist Shashank Subramanyam on 22.10.23.
This year Helsinki Jazz is organizing another Nordic improvisation-based jaZZanti event in Balder’s hall on November 24-25, where a total of six Nordic musicians will play.
The organization will award the Art Breaks Walls recognition award for the first time. Art Breaks Walls is awarded to a respected artist working in the field of jazz, improvised music and contemporary music. The award will be announced in more detail later on.
