Jazz Finland release event in the Helsinki Music Centre's Black Box includes a professional discussion around the Jazz Finland 2020 vision; What kind of infrastructure is needed, what new education or know-how is relevant to the development of jazz music branch, what can media do for jazz and what can we do for media?
After the general talk, a panel discussion about funding and internationalization takes place. The panelists are Minna Sirnö, the Director of the Arts Promotion Centre Finland, Tuomo Tähtinen, the Managing Director of Music Finland, Hannu Oskala, a musician and a member of the Helsinki City Board, pianist Iiro Rantala and an allaround jazz activist Jussi Fredriksson. The moderator of the discussion is Annamaija Saarela, the President of the Europe Jazz Network.
After the seminar the participants have a chance to enjoy of live music provided by Jaska Lukkarinen Trio.
