Jazz Finland opens the post-corona touring season with a double-tour by solo pianist Kari Ikonen and Finnish-Danish JAF Trio (Adele Sauros – sax, Joonas Tuuri – bass, Frederik Bülow – drums). The concert venues are currently preparing their safety protocols, and they will post instructions on their websites, so please follow your local jazz club's social media and web pages.

Double record release tour:

Kari Ikonen – Impressions, Improvisations & Compositions
Kari Ikonen – grand piano, Maqiano

Kari Ikonen's solo piano repertoire Impressions, Improvisations & Compositions is released in August 2020 by the German label Ozella Music. The Kandinsky-influenced album consists of Ikonen's compositions and improvisations, which bring out the whole sound pallet of a grand piano. Impressions, Improvisations & Compositions also presents Ikonen's new, mysterious, self-made tool called Maqiano.
