Go Northward: Jazz Connective in Helsinki brings the most interesting trends of European jazz to Finland at the end of October.
Go Northward: Jazz Connective in Helsinki is a three-day event presenting topical artists and bands around the Europe: from Slovenia, France, Poland and Ireland, not forgetting the Finnish top-notch guests. The concerts take place at WHS Teatteri Union, Koko Jazz Club and Tenho Restobar between 28 and 30 October. The concerts are co-produced by the Vapaat äänet (Free Voices, Free Sounds) agency and Helsinki Jazz ry.
Jazz Connective is a collaborative project between different European actors built to sustainably strengthen our artistic scenes, composed of promoters and producers, musicians and professionals, by exploring these issues on a European scale. This project is supported by the European Union within the framework of Creative Europe - Cooperation Project and will take place in several stages, in several European cities. The event in Helsinki is hosted by Vapaat äänet and Helsinki Jazz ry and it features concerts and debates. The city of Helsinki supports the concert series. Other participating cities are Ljubljana, Lyon, Lódź, Dublin, London and Birmingham.
