Puistoblues in Järvenpää will be back next summer with top-notch artists.
One of the international headliners for the event will be the American guitarist and singer Kenny Wayne Shepherd, known for his soulful blues. Representing the domestic talent, one of Finland's most beloved singers and songwriters, J. Karjalainen, will also perform.
Born in 1977, Kenny Wayne Shepherd has released numerous studio albums and gained great popularity with his powerful guitar skills. He has played at major festivals worldwide and collaborated with many leading blues artists. In September 2024, he released his latest album, Dirt On My Diamonds vol. 2, a follow-up to the 2023 album Dirt On My Diamonds vol. 1.
J. Karjalainen, who started his recording career in 1981, is one of Finland's all-time favorite singers, songwriters, and individualists. He has successfully adapted North American musical traditions to Finnish contexts, always standing out in his unique way, no matter what corner of that treasure trove he explores. J. Karjalainen has announced that he will release new music in the spring of 2025.
