G Livelab Helsinki serves up a variety of Finnish jazz, folk, hip hop and alternative rock in August.
Recently nominated for Nordic Council Music Prize, drummer Teppo Mäkynen performs at G Livelab Helsinki on 5th August together with longtime collaborator saxophonist Timo Lassy. Another serving of powerful jazz is offered up on Wednesday 26th August by the innovative Sointi Jazz Orchestra together with Norwegian trumpeter Mathias Eick. On Thursday 27th August the legendary drummer Reiska Laine presents his seminal quintet and the month is finished with a flourish on Friday 28th August by trumpeter Jukka Eskola and his Soul Trio.
