Free open air series by top Finnish acts on the Espa stage for the 20th time

Jazz Finland and Savoy Theatre present the annual Jazz-Espa festival for the 20th consecutive summer. The event is a rare treat for the Helsinkians and travellers, even on an international scale: this number of free concerts by such high-level artists in the heart of a city can't be found anywhere else.

The annual Jazz-Espa concert series and its opening festival offer more than 20 top-notch jazz concerts this upcoming summer. The beloved free shows on the Espa outdoor stage will run from Monday, the 29th of July to Saturday, the 3rd of August, with two concerts taking place every afternoon and one lunch concert at noon. This year will also see the Jazz-Espa 20-year-anniversary opening festival Suvilahti Jazz take over the restaurant ship Merikerho on 28 July.

Year 2019 marks the 20th consecutive summer of Jazz-Espa. Like in previous years, the festival will deliver both experimental styles and traditional sounds and everything in between. Jazz-Espa has established itself as the highlight of Helsinki’s jazz events, both among tourists and locals. Last year, the concert series was attended by 3,500 listeners.

The programme of Jazz-Espa can be found in the bottom of this e-mail, and more information of the performers in English at www.jazzespa.fi/en
