The Flame Jazz Home Delivery concept, which started last spring, will make a comeback on the last weekend of May in the courtyards and gardens of the Turku region. The Flame Jazz Messengers quartet, led by Severi Pyysalo and Jussi Fredriksson, will take the stage of the home delivery car.
The spring 2021 Flame Jazz Home Delivery tour features the Flame Jazz Messengers quartet, consisting of Turku-based musicians working closely with Flame Jazz. Phenomenal virtuoso Severi Pyysalo brings world-class soloism to the ranks of Messengers, versatile saxophonist Max Zenger and bassist Teemu Åkerblom represent the hottest generation of Finnish jazz at its best, and Flame Jazz's soul Jussi Fredriksson completes the line-up.
The Flame Jazz home delivery car can be ordered in the Turku area to your own yard on Friday 28 May or on Saturday 29 May between 15:00–21:00. The band plays about 15 minutes on the stage of the truck in each yard, and subscribers can listen to music in the yard or from a window at a suitable safety distance, in accordance with the 10-person gathering restriction in place in Southwest Finland.
The entire cultural sector is experiencing challenging times due to cancellations of public events. In connection with the Flame Jazz home delivery gigs, the public has the opportunity to show their support for the industry also by redeeming slightly more expensive support tickets.
