The Turku-based concert series Flame Jazz and Food & Fun Turku have joined forces on a new concept that brings together top jazz and delicious food in a fresh, new way. The collaborative venture kicks off on the first weekend of September, at the Flame Jazz Opening Weekend, offering the audience a treat in many senses of the word. Discount tickets to concerts will be available for customers of any restaurant that takes part in the Food & Fun Festival.
The Flame Jazz Opening Weekend sees two superb trios take the jazz club Monk stage: the most recent Jazz Emma winner, Mopo, on Saturday; and the international outfit Richardson/Maekynen/Loetjoenen (USA/FIN) on Saturday. This year’s Food & Fun restaurants are as follows E. Ekblom, Hus Lindman, Karu Izakaya, Kaskis, Ludu, Pinella, Sergio's, Smör, Sointu, Tintå, Torre and Ravintolalaiva Cindy.
