The Finnish Big Band Federations celebrates it’s 40th anniversary on 5–6 October. This year, the Finnish Big Band Championships, organized every other year, are held at Arabia Hall (Arabiankatu 2, Helsinki) on 6 October. The event is admission free.

13.00 Competing orchestras perform: HOS Big Band, Junior All Star Big Band, Metropolia Big Band, Roast Burn Big Band.

The championships are open to all big bands working regularly. The orchestras may perform a freely chosen programme, duration max. 15 minutes. The orchestra must be a big band, they may have a soloist.
