Turku Jazz Orchestra’s Big Band institute offers qualified and versatile teaching in rhythm music. The Big Band welcomes all musicians interested in big band music, regardless their level.
Turku Jazz Orchestra offers teaching in big band for the fifth year in Turku. The institute operates in periods and the teaching takes place on two weekends on 17.-18. and 24.-25. of November. The period ends with performance on legendary Harlem Jazz Club on Thursday 29 November.
The Big Band institute consists of two orchestras, one for beginners and the other for advanced players. All ages and levels are welcomed. Big Band institute is organised in collaboration with Turku Conservatory.
The enrollment is open on Turku Jazz Orchestra web pages until Sunday 4 November. The fee is 50 euros and it includes course materials, section and band rehearsals, three theme workshops and lunch on all teaching days.
