French virtuoso bassist, composer and innovator Dominique Di Piazza joins Jan-Olof Strandberg’s Strandberg Project for the group’s 20th anniversary at Sellosali on 10 September.
In addition to Di Piazza’s mindblowing compositions for solo bass, we can expect new arrangements of classic rock pieces with plenty of room left for improvisation. John McLaughlin, for one, has praised Dominique Di Piazza’s style, naming him as his favourite bass player. Di Piazza arrives in Finland straight from a European tour with Eric Marienthal.
