The VAAHTO project organizes concert production workshops around Finland during fall 2013. The workshops are held in Finnish, but depending on the participants' wishes, can be partly run in English also.
The case-oriented workshops are designed beforehand to match the participants' interests and expectations. The project aims to troubleshoot the most challenging areas of event production in particular regions in Finland, and find solutions together with the working groups. The workshops are planned and run by We Jazz Ltd.

Fri 6.9. at 5pm, Helsinki (3 - 5 hrs)
Tue 2.10. at 5pm, Seinäjoki (3 - 5 hrs)
Tue 8.10. at 5pm, Joensuu (3 - 5 hrs)
Sat 19.10. at 9am, Oulu (7 hrs, includes lunch and a session regarding funding)
Application:
The workshops are primarily planned for the member organizations of the Finnish Jazz Federation, but there will be room for more people as well. First come, first serve - apply to the Helsinki workshop before th 28th of August and to the other worshops before the 17th of September with this electronic form here. VAAHTO producer and intermediator project is coordinated by Music Finland, and funded by the European Social Fund, the Ministry of Education and Culture, Häme Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment, Cities of Seinäjoki, Tampere, Järvenpää and Oulu. The project studies and creates new working models, education, supportive systems and ways of co-operation for developing the production management sector in the field of music, dance, literature and visual arts.
