Black Motor Club will run for three more times in Tampere

The Black Motor Club, organised by the trio Black Motor, will run three more months in Tampere. The second concert will be heard today and the remaining two in June and July.


The improvisation-driven trio Black Motor has run their own club for three years already. The group has invited top guests to play with them each moth starting from April in the cosy jazz scene of Tampere city. At the first concert Black Motor was joined by Jari Hongisto on trombone, and today will see the second gig featuring pianist Seppo Kantonen at Tampere main library.

After today, the audience will be able to enjoy Black Motor Club for two more times; the remaining two gigs will be organised in June and July. In June the trio will be joined by guitarist Pekka Rechardt, known from the legenday progressive rock group, Wigwam. The concert will be hosted by Telakka. For the final concert, in Pub Huurupiilo, Black Motor will invite the reed artist and musicologist Paul Austerlitz at the helm.
