Turku Jazz Orchestra’s Big Band School is looking for students! The school runs a periodically and offers big band lessons for amateur musicians of all ages from beginners to advanced-level players. Two orchestras will be formed, of which one is aimed at less-experienced, the other at experienced students. Registration is open until Friday 27 March on Turku Jazz Orchestra’s website.
Rehearsals begin on 11 April at Turku Conservatory, and the course culminates in student performances at Sigyn Café (Linnankatu 60, Turku) at 3:00PM and at Salon Hilkansali (Vilhonkatu 2) at 6:00PM.
Course fee 30 € includes materials and a Turku Jazz Orchestra shirt.
