Austrian trio Mario Rom's Interzone will tour Finland in July

The Finnish tour of the jazz trio led by trumpet player Mario Rom will start in Helsinki from Odysseus Festival on 25 July and end at Raahe Jazz on the Beach on July 30-31. The band will also visit Tampere and Pori.

the Austrian trio Mario Rom's Interzone will visit to Finland for a week-long tour at the end of July 2021. The visit, produced by the agency Vapaat Äänet, will start on Sunday 25 July with the trio performing at We Jazz Odysseus Festival on the island of Lonna near Helsinki.

The tour continues on Monday 26 July in Tampere, where the band will be seen on the stage of G Livelab Tampere. On Tuesday 27 July it is the turn of the Pori Validi Karkia Club, and the tour culminates in a visit to Raahe Jazz on the Beach on July 29-31. In Raahe, the band will perform as a trio and with dancer Susanna Kinnunen, and will also host the festival's closing jams.

The trio consists of trumpeter Mario Rom, bassist Lukas Kranzelbinder and drummer Herbert Pirker. The trio, welded together by a decade of playing together, have released four albums during their career. Their most recent album, Eternal Fiction, saw the light of day in January 2021.
