Aurora Hentunen Quartet on an album release tour in Finland

AHQ released its sophomore album Frost in August and is now touring seven cities around Finland.

Aurora Hentunen Quartet, which debut Second Spring was released in 2018, released their new album Frost on 20 August. The quartet, known for the modern jazz sound rising from the core of the Finnish nature and accompanied by folkish melodies and electric effects, started their record release tour from Salo last week. The ensemble has been well-welcomed both Finland and abroad, and after Finland the Frost tour is heading to the Netherlands, German, France and Belgium. AHQ’s members have studied music in Finland, the Netherlands and United States, and are often praised for their seamless ensemble play and high-level professional attitude. The new album features alto saxophonist Max Zenger, tenor saxophonist Ukko Heinonen and guitarist Luka Batista.
