Turku-based Aura Flow quintet released their first album 'You'll Hear From Me' on Fredriksson Music.
Aura Flow is named after the river Aura in Turku. As calmly as the river flows through the city, the band has prepared their debut album. As a reward for the patience, the audience got an albumful of fresh-sounding, energetic jazz that draws inspiration from the traditions.
"These gifted musicians have come far from Turku: Through hard work and studies at the Sibelius Academy, they have risen to the ranks of top musicians in Finland. It has been a thrill to watch these gentlemen get better and better - and try to keep up with the speed!" says the band's drummer Jussi Fredriksson, who also runs the Fredriksson Music record label.
The compositions on 'You'll Hear From Me' are by saxophonist Max Zenger and pianist Henri Mäntylä.
