Jazz Finland produces two Finnish tours in the spring of 2021. The application to perform on these tours is open from April 6 at 10am to May 11 at 4pm. Due to covid-19 pandemic, three tours in April–May 2020 are postponed to April–May 2021 and therefor no co-production tours will be added in the spring 2021 tour plan.

JAZZ FINLAND TOURS
- Jazz Finland Tour 1: February 8–21, 2021
- Jazz Finland Tour 2: March 8–21, 2021
- Postponed from spring 2020 to 2021:
- Creatika Agency Ltd: Pope Puolitaival Nordic 4: March 22–28 and April 12–18 (supported by Jazz Finland)
- Raitala Music Ltd: Aki Rissanen Trio: March 30–April 11 and April 20–25 (supported by Jazz Finland)

Jazz Finland (Suomen Jazzliitto/Finnish Jazz Federation) commits to organise 5 to 8 concerts to the selected band within a period of two weeks, primarily booked by Jazz Finland’s member associations. In case of an exceptionally large band, the minimum number of concerts might be reduced due to financial reasons.
Jazz Finland will
- produce the tour
- pay fees (235,00€ per person per concert, incl. holiday compensation 13,5,%) and per diems to the artists and sound engineers
- cover travel and accommodation costs
- provide marketing material for the and cover the costs of an outsourced media office. NB! The band has to have their own promotional material up-to-date by August 2020: photos, introduction text, website, streaming services.
The tours start and end in Helsinki, and Jazz Finland does not cover international travels to and from Helsinki.
HOW TO APPLY IN ENGLISH
The application is open from April 6, 2020 at 10.00am to May 11, 2020 at 4.00pm.

NB! Only ONE application per applicant. If you have several bands, applying with the group that is the most active and topical will maximise your chances of becoming selected.

• Preferred period, February 8–21 or March 8–21, 2021, or both
• Name of the ensemble
• Members of the ensemble and their instruments
• Description of the ensemble (founding year, description of the music and why the ensemble is topical in the spring of 2021)
• The most important performances and releases of the ensemble
• Music samples (streaming link/drive link/MP3 files)
• Link to the band’s homepage
The Jazz Finland Board selects the four projects and notifies the appointed applicants in the beginning on June 2020. All applicants will be notified by June 19, 2020.
