Finnish Jazz Federation produces a minimum of three jazz tours in Finland per season. The bands are chosen by applications. Apply now for the tours in spring of 2015. The electronic form can be found below, and the last day to apply is the 5th of May.
All mainly Finnish ensembles are eligible for applying the tours. In the spring of 2015 The Jazz Federation produces three two-week-long tours, where the touring bands get 6 to 8 concerts each. The Jazz Federation promotes the band, books the concerts, provides the marketing material, plans the tour, organizes transportation and accommodation, provides sound engineering and equipment, and covers the fees and per diems. In other words; the band just needs to be artistically excellent and interesting – and topical in 2015.
The touring periods are:
1) 9th – 22nd of February
2) 6th – 19th of April
3) 4th – 17th of May
