Like every year in the past 12 years, the Erik Lindström Foundation awards a grant to an up-and-coming jazz musician. Apply for the grant is Tuesday 31 March 2015.
The Erik Lindström Foundation has awarded grants since 2003 to support Finnish jazz musicians in their studies. In 2015 one student of jazz will receive a grant of 2 500 €. Preference will be given to applicants aiming to pursue their studies in the United States.
Free-form applications should be sent via email to the address info@jazzpoparkisto.net. Alternatively, applications can be sent by post or brought to the office of Suomen Jazz & Pop Arkisto (the Finnish Pop & Jazz Archive) to the address Sörnäisten rantatie 25, 00500 Helsinki.
The application deadline is 31 March 2015.
The winner will be announced on 26 May 2015 at Ravintola Laulumiehet in a special Erik Lindström soirée. The event is a part the jaZZanti concert series, organised by Helsinki Jazz ry.
