Afrojazz Club goes Kilombo 1pm-9pm Vamos a bailar! Angata donké! Kaay fecc! Let´s dance! Swinging tunes are heard at Alppipuisto on 15 July as Afrojazz Club goes Kilombo takes over the park. The event brings leading musicians playing African and Afro Cuban live music to the stage, among them Afrojazz Quintet and their soloist Charlotta Kerbs.
For the first time in the history of "Alppipuiston kesä" series (free summer picnics at Alppipuisto park) we cater you a full afternoon with some of Finland's leading bands playing African and Afro Cuban live music. In addition, we invite you to enjoy music and storytelling for children, chill dj tunes, dancing, a bazaar and delicious food from different parts of the world.
The bazaar offers colourful products and information about organizations promoting African and afro diaspora cultures in Finland.

Afrojazz Quintet
The finnish-beninoise Afrojazz Quintet's groovy music is well known to those visiting the Afrojazz Club, arranged since 2015 at various locations in Finland. The band functions as the club's house band featuring top guest artists. Afrojazz Quintet with its charismatic and soulful lead singer Charlotta Kerbs play a dance friendly blend of afrofunk, afrobeat, reggae, world music and afrojazz in their own unique style.
