12 Points Festival looking for young Finnish jazz acts

The dynamic festival of young European Jazz 12 Points is looking for Finnish acts to perform at the 9th edition of the festival. The festival will take place in Dublin, Ireland, 15-18th April 2015. Previous Finnish bands to showcase their talent include Elifantree and Big Blue. The last chance to submit your application is 12 December 2014.

Only 8 days remaining for young musicians to apply to perform at one of the most dynamic music gatherings in Europe. The acclaimed 12 Points festival return to the Project Arts Centre, DUBLIN next April 2015, after a biennial European edition in Umeå, Sweden.

Winner of the Europe Jazz Network Award for Adventurous Programming, 12 Points is uniquely nomadic – alternating annually between Dublin and other young European cities, creating a vibrant community amongst creative musicians across the continent.

12 Points is now searching for 12 acts from 12 different European countries to perform at the 2015 festival, playing jazz, experimental or related music.

Over the last 9 years the festival has become an important platform for emerging European jazz talent, and a fantastic opportunity for young musicians to perform in front of some of Europe's top jazz festival bookers and music media; 12 Points brings exciting perspectives on a great music tradition, from emerging artists with plenty to say.

Previous Finnish participants include Elifantree and Big Blue. 12 Points is now searching for a new act from Finland for the 2015 festival!
