Markku Johansson (b. 1949), who is probably best known as one of the founding members of UMO Jazz Orchestra, is one of the most versatile professional musicians in Finland. Since 1970 he has worked professionally as a trumpetist, a flugelhorn player, an arranger, a composer and a conductor.
