Biography
The trio led by the Italian drummer Alessandro D'Anna is presenting the album, Standards Time, Vol. II, Mexico City, recorded in January 2020 with Alex Mercado and Rob Duguay.
The idea of the album is to record standards of the American jazz tradition and also classical arrangements in different cities around the world, which have influenced Alessandro D'Anna's life and career. The tunes are all fresh arrangements by the drummer with a particular and colorful taste using a trio with a Fender Rhodes sound. The album also reflects the importance of this music to connect musicians from different countries under the same language of music.
