Biography

Tenors of Kalma is an adventurous Finnish trio that blends jazz, electronic music, and avant-garde rock into a vibrant and unpredictable sonic journey. The group features three acclaimed musicians: Kalle Kalima on guitar, Jimi Tenor on saxophone, vocals and synthesizers, and Joonas Riippa on drums.

Their 2023 album Sounds of Salo pays homage to the Finnish town of Salo, infusing its spirit into a mix of futuristic jazz, cosmic funk, and surreal sound experiments. With their bold musical approach and infectious energy, Tenors of Kalma continues to push the boundaries of modern jazz and experimental music.
