Jukka Linkola Tentet came alive after 27 years with a new line-up and fresh music, when Flame Jazz Records released the band's second album Rumba Liberte in April 2023.

In Tentet’s music funk and Latin African-American influences are combined in a special way with beautiful and cinematic melodies. The lineup of top musicians brings the band leader’s skillful compositions to life in a unique way.

Composer-pianist-conductor Jukka Linkola's Tentet line-up is an interesting mix of Finnish jazz musician generations. Tentet woke up from its long hiatus to perform concerts with a new line-up in 2021. At that time, the idea of ​​a new album arose. On Rumba Liberte you can hear multidimensional music, where prog shifts are combined with the soundscape of a big band.

Tentet's renewed line-up combines the older generation with younger musicians, bringing nuances from different decades to the music. According to Linkola you will hear an energetic and surprising ensemble, in whose sounds you can hear a lot of creative madness.
