Biography

Peace is the solo debut album of guitarist Into Koponen.

Into Koponen is a guitarist, composer and guitar teacher from Oulu who is celebrating his 50th birthday by releasing his first solo album in June 2024.

Koponen is an original and style-conscious musician who is at home with blues, rock, country and jazz. During his career as a player, he has performed in bands of leading Finnish artists both in Finland and abroad. Koponen's fusion-style compositions combine modern jazz harmony with expressive and dynamic blues-style guitar playing.

"The compositions on the Peace album are very personal. I try to tell the listener stories through melody and harmony."
