Biography

Nordic jazz quartet AAVA's self-titled debut album was released in 2021.

AAVA is the Finnish word for an open landscape. The group explores the Nordic sound with curiosity and an improvisational approach taking inspiration from the Wadden Sea, the Swedish mountains and the Finnish forests.

The band consists of musicians from Denmark, Sweden and Finland. The three Nordic cultures meet in a creative interaction that takes the listener on a journey in the open countryside.
