Yle Radio 1's jazz programs merge into one, tight package, and take a new time slot on Sunday evenings, at 7.03pm. New records, burning topics, top concerts and a variety of theme shows can now be found on the three-set Jazzklubi program.
The first hour features topical records and discussion on current phenomenas on the field of jazz. Hosts Markus Partanen and Harri Tuominen also put the week's important gigs on the map.
The concert part of the program starts at 8pm. Veli-Pekka Heinonen hosts the second hour and takes us to the concerts of world stars and interesting new artists.
Third and last hour of the show focuses on one theme per week. Themes vary from musicians' profiles to jazz genres exclusively or remarkable record labels. Aside from jazz journalists Jan-Erik Holmberg, Eero Koski, DJ Bunuel and Markku Salo, also other radio personas go on air during the last set.
