The target group of the new maritime festival is determined by the universal language of music, which speaks across demographic boundaries. The SaltFest 23 program is an excellent indication of how diverse and historically recognizable today's music coverage in Finland is today. The influences include folk music as well as punk, funk, jazz and the singer-songwriter world of the 1960s and 70s.
The program includes performances by Timo Lassy & Niko Luoma, Arppa, Pambikallio, Litku Klemetti, Olli Soikkeli, Maija Kauhanen, Jake & the Ramblin' Blade, Hannibal & Hot Heroes, Anis Kiitu, Dalindeo, Bad Sauna and Kusinerna Riippa.
The idea for the new event was born from the personal dream of Måns Strömberg, Timothy Kühn, Kalle Katz and Mikko Airas to realize an ambitious, boundary-breaking and approachable music festival.
SaltFest is organized by Lovisa Konst och Kultur rf and the venue is Loviisa's maritime Laivasilta in Itä-Uusimaa. The city's guest marina, three restaurants, a maritime museum and an art gallery are also located in the area.
