The 12th Porvoo Jazz Festival will be held from September 26th to 29th. The festival will take place in various venues, including the association’s own cultural space, Vanha 123, which will be equipped with top-notch sound systems in collaboration with Genelec. During the festival, the halls of Vanha 123 will be aptly named Genelec Lab 1 & 2. A new addition this year is a rustic pop-up space right next to Vanha 123: the former entertainment center Punainen Pantteri will transform into a relaxed concert venue called Vanha Pantteri for the duration of the festival.
The 12 Points festival brings twelve emerging jazz artists from twelve different European countries to Finland. The festival will take place from September 25th to 28th at G Livelab in Tampere. The event is organized by the Irish music promotion company Improvised Music Company and the music club G Livelab Tampere.
Melissa Aldana, one of the leading jazz voices of her generation, will visit Finland in October as part of the Jazz Finland Residency. During her two-week residency, Aldana will perform with UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra in Jyväskylä on October 9th, Lahti on October 10th, and Helsinki on October 11th. She will also appear as a guest with the Oulu All Star Big Band in Oulu on October 6th.

The Porvoo Jazz Festival once again brings an international flair to Porvoo this year.
The facilities of Jazz City Turku ry, located in Forum Kortteli, are expanding in September as the association opens a music club for children and young people. The new Flame Jazz Club will regularly host jam sessions, workshops, and other events for young people and children.

This year, the Tampere Jazz Happening – organised during the weekend of All Saints’ Day, 31 October to 3 November 2024 – will present, among other things, contemporary Portuguese jazz. All in all, 25 ensembles will take the stage in ten concert events round Tullikamari Square.
