This is how Josén Pimeä Puoli describes its music, which audience can experience for themselves at the joint Jazzpatio of the Oulu Music Festival and Jumpru Pub on the Night of the Arts, August 17 at 21:00. Admission to the concert is free. During the summer, wonderful jazz concerts have been heard on the patio every Tuesday.
Since the band’s debut album Ihanasti kyyninen (2018), they have released many singles, the most recent of which was last September's Mitä tapahtui?, and a third album is also already in the works. The band features trumpeter Jose Mäenpää, bassist Arto Nurmi and drummer Jussi Miettola.
Pimeä Puoli is known as a quirky live band for their spontaneity, presence and emotionality. Even though their songs tell about darker things, through the music they leave the listener with a good feeling.
