The book publishing company Aviador Publishing is starting its activity by releasing a biography of the legendary jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt on the 14th of April. The book is called "Django, vallaton virtuoosi" (engl. Django, the rambunctious virtuoso).

Jazz-Espa and JazzPiknik programme released
The annual Jazz-Espa concert series takes place for the 15th time at the Espa outdoor stage, in the heart of Helsinki. This year Jazz-Espa features six topical Finnish jazz acts from Monday the 28nd of July to Saturday, the 2nd of August.
LightBoxer to tour Finland and Estonia
Saxophonist Markus Holkko’s and guitarist Aki Haarala’s LightBoxer release their second album for a tour in Japan next fall. The Finnish and Estonian fans get to hear the new material first when the band goes on a nine-concert tour between April 2 and May 2. The tour is supported by the Finnish and Estonian Jazz Federations.
Two jazz albums among the nominees of Teosto Prize
This year's Teosto Prize winner is published on April 10th in Helsinki. The seven nominated albums or other musical works include two jazz records.
