The innovative concept of SAMtal is musical double exposure: SAMtal performs two sets of soundscapes, with the first set being recorded and the second set played on top of the recording. The foundation for this is Sid Hille's composition Double Exposure, which leaves plenty of room for improvisation. Therefore, each performance by the group is completely original and unique.

SAMtal released their debut recording Double Exposure in the fall of 2022.
