Markus Niittynen Band was founded in 2018. The band performs instrumental jazz music. The quartet's style is swinging, rhythmically sophisticated and played homage to the history of jazz.

The band recorded an EP in Kallio-Kuninkaala and release it under the name Flashbacks through the Jaskaa record label in 2020.
