Iro Haarla Ouranos Ensemble is a band formed by Iro Haarla, Jone Takamäki, Ulf Krokfors, Aniida Vesala and Aija Puurtinen.

The Greek word "ouranos" means firmament. Every piece on this recording depicts, in some way, events that occur above the Earth. Things we may not see but still sense as something that affects our lives. All living beings live under the same firmament without boundaries between nations.
